In this case a sodium phosphate based enema can provide relief. Sodium phosphates enema is a saline laxative which means that it works by pulling water into the bowel which allows for a bowel movement.

Do not use if you are allergic to a sodium phosphate enema, have congestive heart failure, kidney failure or high amounts of phosphate in the blood. It is always recommended to talk to your doctor before use or if you have questions surrounding usage.
