Size and fit are very important when it comes to your home health care products. Healthwick's sizing guide can help you determine what size will best suit your needs and information on how products are measured.
If you're choosing an underwear or adult diaper style product, finding the right fit is very important. If a product is too small you may experience skin irritation, and if a product is too large may result in leaks.
All Healthwick products are clearly labelled with size ranges in inches in the product description to help you find exactly the correct size.

Measuring for compression socks and stockings can be performed by a certified fitter, but it can also be done easily by yourself at home. To begin, you will need a measuring tape. For best results, measure first thing in the morning as your leg will swell over the course of the day, leading to unreliable measurements if you take a measurement later in the day.
Ankle Measurement 1. Measure around your ankle (this measurement is called the circumference). Place the measuring tape at the narrowest part of the ankle, above the ankle bone. Note: This must always be your first measurement |
|
Calf Measurement 2. Find the widest part of your calf. Measure the circumference of your calf. |
|
Calf Length 3. Sit on a chair with your legs at a 90-degree angle. Measure the distance from the bend in your knee to the floor. |

Catheters are a tool used to manage urinary incontinence. Healthwick offers options for Intermittent Catheters and Male External Catheters. Like most incontinence products, size and fit are very important. Catheters have two required measurements; diameter and length. To determine what size you need, please speak to your healthcare professional.
The diameter of a catheter tube is measured in French scale (FR). 1 FR is equal to 0.33mm. Catheters are often available in a wide range of FR sizes. Your healthcare professional can help you determine what size is best for you.
FR sizes do not apply to external catheters. External catheters, also known as condom catheters, are measured in millimetres (mm).
Catheter lengths are typically measured in inches. The required length differ by gender. Men usually need a longer length, as the male urethra is longer. However, length may also differ based on a person's physique and their specific lifestyle needs. Your healthcare professional can help you determine what length you require.
