Re-usable Underwear: TENA 2-Piece System

When first learning about how to manage urinary or bowel incontinence, many people gravitate towards pull-up style underwear or tabbed briefs, especially when they require heavy absorbency. An option that is often overlooked, yet offers the same level of absorbency is the 2-piece reusable underwear and pad system.

TENA has a special line of products which are worn as a 2-piece system.  This is comprised of the TENA Comfort Pants or the TENA Knit Pants and a pad from their Comfort Pad line.  The underwear are washable, reusable knit pants which ensure the TENA Comfort Pads stay securely in place.

TENA has two different variations of the reusable underwear: TENA Comfort Pants and TENA Knit Pants.  Both pairs of underwear are designed to support and hold TENA Pads in place. Both different products are designed to feel like regular underwear, and are suitable for both males and females. The underwear can be washed several times without losing their shape. The difference between the Knit and Comfort Pants is in their material makeup.  The Comfort Pants are made of cotton and are latex and spandex-free, while the Knit Pants are made of polyester, with 4% spandex and are also latex-free.

They also can be worn more discreetly than a tabbed-brief or pull-up style absorbent product, as they are less bulky to wear around the waist and buttocks.

Six pads are produced specifically to be used with Comfort Pants and Knit Pants, including the following:

TENA Day Light Pads: designed for light to moderate bladder and/or bowel incontinence

TENA Day Regular Pads: designed for moderate bladder and/or bowel incontinence protection

TENA Day Plus Pads: designed for moderate to heavy bladder and/or bowel incontinence protection

TENA Comfort Day Plus: designed for moderate to heavy bladder and/or bowel incontinence protection, features leg gatherers for leakage protection.

TENA Night Super Pads: designed for heavy bladder and/or bowel incontinence protection, features leg gatherers for leakage protection

TENA Comfort Night Super Pad: designed for maximum bladder and/or bowel incontinence protection, features leg gatherers for leakage protection

All of these pads are suitable for bladder and bowel incontinence.  They are equipped with adhesive strips to keep them in place, and feature a wetness indicator strip that makes it easy to determine whether changing is required, helping reduce the need for intrusive checking.

The effective use of this 2-piece system is an economical option for managing bladder and/or bowel incontinence.  The Comfort Day Plus Pads and the Night Super Pads have a level of absorbency that can rival the most absorbent briefs and underwear available on the market.
