Worth every penny!

Great quality and washes well but not waterproof at all

Love that it says "this side down". I can't tell you how many PSWs don't know the difference between the cloth side and the waterproof side. I don't worry anymore that they'll leave my bedridden father on the wrong side for the night.

I've tried 4 other brands of pads, but I have no complaints about this one. Some are too small; some too thin and hard; some not absorbent enough; worst of all are the ones that crumple up and create giant folds under my body - I'm a restless sleeper. Northshore is a generous sized, thick and soft, super absorbent pad. Best of all, it stays put no matter how often I twist and turn. The absorbent part doesn't separate from the waterproof part. Also, I really appreciate that it's blue, and doesn't stand out against the pastel colours of my bedroom.

These underpads are extremely absorbent. My dad also has no short term memory - so the blue pad is extremely helpful. He would try to get under the white underpads as he thought they were a sheet he needed to go under.
These pads have which side goes down clearer displayed on it - which is great when there are different PSWs in the house - and it is self-explanatory - you don't have to show the new PSWs how to place the pads. (Yes, this is an issue with other pads - who knew?)
I have both the 35"x47" and the 36"x60". The larger underpads are great for those in double beds who tend to move around. I have the Medline underpads as well, which work well - but they did not come large enough to cover a double bed area.
These underpads are stiffer than other pads, which may be a hindrance for some people. I was surprised, but it is worth it for the absorbency. They can go in the dryer which is also fantastic.
We have not had to clean the sheets since buying these Northshore Underpads for incontinence issues. We only clean the sheets now because sheets need to be cleaned. Hallelujah! Well worth the buy.
