PRESS RELEASE: Healthwick Canada Sponsors Canadian Nurse Continence Advisors Association
Nurse continence advisor association and incontinence product retailer offer support for 3 million Canadians managing incontinence.
Direct-to-home retailer Healthwick Canada has announced their annual sponsorship of the Canadian Nurse Continence Advisors Association (CNCA). The sponsorship ensures that trained Nurse Continence Advisors have an associated Canadian retailer specialising in incontinence products to which they can refer clients for help finding the right briefs (a.k.a. adult diapers), underwear, pads, underpads, and skin care products to manage their incontinence.
The CNCA education program was developed in Ontario in 1995 to address the problem of incontinence in community Home Care Programs, and has since spread to independent practice and clinics which help thousands of Canadians every year. The Nurse Continence Advisor (NCA) role is an independent practice model for registered nurses focusing on conservative methods of managing incontinence.
"We're excited to once again sponsor the CNCA Association in 2014," says Sharron Jones, Marketing Director for Healthwick, "We often refer our customers to CNCA's highly-trained members for medical assistance, and the CNCA members in-turn can count on us a resource for their clients who are seeking products to help them manage the effects of incontinence."
Since 2011, Healthwick has offered Canada's largest selection of direct-to-home adult incontinence products from top national brands including Abena, Tranquility, TENA, Molicare, Attends, Depend, and Prevail. Canadians can order online and by toll-free phone, with discreet home delivery nation-wide.
"CNCA is delighted that Healthwick has chosen to renew their Corporate Membership for another year," says Jennifer Skelly, President of the CNCA Association, "Healthwick's home delivery provides our members and their clients with a convenient way of accessing a wide range of continence products."
One of the most popular referrals from NCA clients in 2013 was for Healthwick's Free Sample Program, which continues through 2014. The program allows customers to try up to 5 free samples of national-brand incontinence products in the privacy of their homes, while only paying shipping, and then receiving free shipping on their subsequent purchase.
"Clients of NCA members frequently come to us to try free incontinence products, because we have hundreds of products to sample," says Jones, "Because we carry higher absorbency products in a wider array of sizes (XS to XXXL), CNCA members can be confident that we'll help their clients find a better fit for their needs than Walmart or Shoppers Drug Mart."
In addition to the annual Corporate Sponsorship, Healthwick Canada is looking forward to sponsoring the CNCA conference, to be held this autumn.
"The CNCA members comprise an expert and compassionate community, and they're an exceptional resource for Canadians seeking assistance with continence issues," says Jones, "We're thrilled to continue supporting them and the work they do."
